Life Teen Mass Sundays at 12:15pm

I want to personally thank all parents, guardians, godparents, grandparents, and friends who have not ceased in your prayers and gentle invitation (prodding?) for teens to become involved with Life Teen here at OMOS.  We had awesome participation last year with new teens joining us every week! With a growing number of teens coming, we have a greater need for caring, committed adults as Core leaders.  Many of you have felt a "tug" from God calling you to this ministry.  Why is God calling YOU? Is it because of your heart for teens? because of your skill in counseling? because of your ability to be a kid at heart and play games? Whatever it is, please respond to God's call because our teens NEED YOU!!!

·         Love for Christ and Catholic Church

·         Ability to interact and have fun with teens

·         Commitment to passing on the faith

·         Consistent presence for teens (relational ministry)

·         Dedication to growing by:

            Attending training opportunities

            Frequenting of the Sacraments

            Regular and consistent prayer life

Please contact me at 305-3615, email mbenzenhoefer@omosparish.org

What is “Life Teen?”

The Life Teen program is a complete, comprehensive and interactive model of religious formation. Through youth friendly Liturgies (12:15PM Mass), Life meetings, weekly activities, service, leadership and outreach activities teens learn more about their Catholic faith and grow to love the Sacraments, the Word, and the Mass. At a parish with the Life Teen program clergy, youth minister, music ministry and a Core team of volunteers build an environment where teens feel loved, accepted, and challenged to go deeper in their faith.

Teens learn about the Mass by being “full, active and conscious” members of the community. Teens not only engage in the liturgy, but also serve as leaders of hospitality, altar servers, lectors, ushers, musicians, vocalists and, when allowed, extraordinary ministers of the Eucharist. “Mother Church earnestly desires that all the faithful should be led to that fully conscious, and active participation in liturgical celebrations which is demanded by the very nature of the liturgy” (Sacrosanctum Concilium, 14).

Life SUPPORT Needed!

Every week teens gather after the 12:15PM Mass

for Life Teen meetings.

Life Teen aims to feed these hungry young souls both spiritually and physically.

(If you have a teen in your household or family – you KNOW how important food is and how expensive it is to feed them!)

We need caring individuals or groups to sign up to provide food on a rotating basis about once a month.  If you can help by providing all or part of a meal for our growing group,

please contact Michelle at 520-305-3615 or email Carrie R. at cryan1095@cox.net

Thank you in advance for your generosity!
