Small Communities of Faith The acronym GIFTS stands for Growing
in Faith Through Sharing. This is
exactly what our small communities of faith process is all about.
Groups of between 8-12 parishioners meet weekly for a six-week period to
read, pray and reflect on the upcoming Sunday Scriptures.
The groups usually meet in homes, but sometimes on the parish grounds.
The six-week ‘faith sharing seasons’ are in the Fall and the Spring,
each ending just prior to Advent and just before Holy Week. Various resources are used to help
facilitate the faith sharing groups. Participants
have found it is a wonderful way to share faith, fun and fellowship and grow in
their appreciation for the Sacred Scriptures.
Groups become sources of friendship and community and often do outreach
projects together and support one another in times of need. Registration for groups is held several weeks prior to Lent and Advent. Please contact Chris Stogsdill at 747-1321 or cccstogs@aol.com for more information.
