PURPOSE

We are a Council of Ministries, sharing with the pastor the responsibility for establishing goals and objectives for the spiritual, social, liturgical, educational and financial development of the parish.  The Council acts, in communion with the pastor and the pastoral staff, as a consulting body.  Acting as representatives of the parish-at large, the OMOS Parish Council discerns the needs and desires of the parishioners.

MEMBERSHIP & MEETINGS

The Council consists of twelve representatives chosen to represent a cross-section of the parish and appointed after a discernment process, guided by prayer.   Members hold office for four years.

Council Meetings are held at 6:30 am on the third Saturday of the following months:  August, September, November, January, March, and May.

COMMISSIONS of the Parish Council Of Ministries

To assist the work of the Council and to broaden the base of dialogue and representation within the parish community, the Council has established ministry commissions which give specific direction to various aspects of Parish life.
