Madeleine joined Our Mother of Sorrows School in 2014 as a middle school teacher, teaching 7th and 8th grade science and Religion. In the fall of 2015, Madeleine felt the calling to serve the wider parish community and joined the parish staff as Executive Assistant to the Pastor. A native of Tucson, Madeleine lived for many years on the Texas Gulf Coast with her husband, Anthony, where they operated their family-owned business and raised their family, and were very active in their parish, St. John the Evangelist.
“It is a blessing to be back home in Tucson and to serve the Diocese of Tucson first as an educator and now as Executive Assistant to Msgr. Tom. Through God’s grace, I have been blessed abundantly and this is my way of giving back. I love working with our dedicated and talented parish and school staffs, and am inspired everyday by my colleagues who live the corporal and spiritual works of mercy through the ministries offered through our parish. Truly, I am fulfilling Jesus’ plan for my life. I love living out loud as a Catholic and serving my brothers and sisters in Christ.”
Madeleine graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor's degree in Health Science and a Master's in Teaching/Teacher Education. She is a loyal Arizona Wildcat fan, enjoys traveling and discovering new destinations with her husband, spending time with family and friends, the low humidity of Tucson and not having to plan for hurricane season.
